gas-net C2

The gas-net C2 protocol gateway is the C1 gateway’s big brother with a clearly extended functional range. It comprises an integrated DSfG-RDT, and up to 4 process boards can be installed.

  • Local DSfG interface according to DSfG* class A
  • Optional TCP/IP interface
  • Up to 6 serial interfaces (RS232, RS485, RS422)
  • Data communication via MODBUS (ASCII, RTU, TCP) or 3964R/RK512
  • DSfG queries, setting telegrams and representation
  • Gas quality simulation of up to two GQ analyzers connected via data communication protocol (e.g. Modbus) on the DSfG bus
  • Counter functions: counters, derived counters for corrected volume / energy / mass, totalizing counters
  • Integrated RDT functionality for data transfer via telephone and modem or via computer network and TCP/IP interface
  • Various proprietary communication protocols
  • Gateway function: The gas-net C2 is able to operate several digital communication interfaces with the same or different protocols. Any data points / registers from telegrams of a data path can be routed to any data points / registers of telegrams of another data path.


* The DSfG protocol is a digital data protocol, especially developed for the communication between gas metering devices in gas measuring and regulating stations.
